Summary

Prof. Yanjun DAI is vice director of Engineering Research Center of Solar Power and Refrigeration, Ministry of China. He worked as Post Doctor Fellow in the Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1999 to 2001, and was then promoted to Associate Professor. He was later promoted to full Professor in 2005.

In recent years, his research interest focus on solar energy conversion, desiccant dehumidification and green building energy systems. He proposed the concept of the two stage desiccant cooling method with the composite desiccant materials and heat recovery, and used it in solar cooling and dehumidification successfully. He developed the heat removal analysis model for concentrated solar collectors. He brought novel points on sustainable energy technologies in green building sector, and contributed much in renewable heating and cooling utilization in China.

He has published 4 books or book chapters (SOLAR COOLING, 2007; ADSORPTION REFRIGERATION, 2002; SOLAR THERMAL UTILIZATION AND SIMULATION, etc.), over 50 international journal papers and over 30 international conference papers, and obtained 18 Chinese patents. He has been the principal researcher for 3 NSFC projects and 5 National High-tech Programs and National Key Technology Programs. He is now the associate editor ofSolar Energy(The official journal of the International Solar Energy Society).
